- Local Girl Scouts are invited to join DC Water and its partners on an exciting journey of water. Through hands-on activities and interactive exhibits, girls will learn about the importance of water and how to protect it during this expedition.
- Girls will rotate to a variety of learning stations and participate in hands-on experiments. This event also includes a video presentation of Women in Water and a riding tour of Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment facility.
- By participating in this environmental education program, scouts will begin to develop a love for water, understand ways to advocate for sources of drinking water, and brainstorm how to share what they have learned with their community. Girls will leave the day as better leaders, stewards and advocates for their local water source.
- This event is free of charge and limited to 50 scouts. To ensure that we are able to accommodate the most number of scouts, please only register your scouts after you have confirmed with parents that scouts are able to attend.
